Based in southeastern North Carolina, Port City Playwrights is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing local scriptwriters. Our mission is to foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that empowers writers of every skill level to cultivate their craft. We also collaborate with a diverse spectrum of actors, directors, and other creative artists to mount productions of members’ scripts, both on film and stage. At the heart of our endeavor is the commitment to create affordable, impactful, productions that showcase the richness of new dramatic work to our audiences.
